Simon Tissot-Dupont founded ST Dupont Company in 1872; focus on the manufacture of high quality leather goods and handbags.
In 1920, he passed his own business to his two sons Lucien and Andre. High quality travel case and accessories are their main products and ST Dupont became famous at that moment.
Unfortunately, in 1940s, because of World War II, they were shortages of resource and customers were decreasing, Andre suggested producing gas lighters.
